The Government of Saint Lucia is making available additional resources and providing direct financial support to support our teachers for the 2024/25 academic year and beyond!
The much-needed Principal Assistants Programme has been reinvigorated with an injection of $392,259 to hire clerical staff to support principals in 31 public schools.

The government is implementing measures to help our students improve in mathematics. $250,000 has been allocated to recruit Mathematics Specialists to provide additional teaching support and ensure students get the hands-on attention they need for better grades on their math exams.

The Teacher Material Allowance (TMA) has increased from $800 to $1,400 and will be provided to every public school teacher in Saint Lucia. The increased $1,400 TMA will expand the ability of our teachers to support our students and fill in the classroom gaps.

The government understands the importance of equipping teachers with the resources to deliver quality instructions and to improve the classroom experience to unlock the full potential of our students and learners.
