Agent Sasco to Headline Carnival Edition This Sunday

Kingston Creative, and Red Stripe Flavours, Partner for Downtown Kingston ‘Art Walk Festival’

Just two weeks ago, revellers and bacchanalists filled the streets of the uptown corridors of Jamaica’s capital for the jubilant climax of the recently concluded Jamaica Carnival season.  This Sunday, however, the celebrations will continue as it spreads to downtown Kingston, with Soca music and Jamaican art merging for the first time at the staging of this month’s Art Walk Festival.

For this month’s ArtWalk Festival event, Kingston Creative, in partnership with Red Stripe Flavours, will take over Water Lane and Church Street and cater to carnival lovers still suffering from tabanca.  Musical veteran Agent Sasco will headline the event’s performances.

What do we have in store?

Sunday’s lineup also includes a Socacise dance warm-up with Careen Walton from Dance Fyah, Photography Art Fair at 132 Harbour Street, Mural tours, a Carnival history chat with “Marvin George (Dean, School of Drama, Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts), Steel band performance by UWI Panoridim and stilt walkers!
