Prime Minister Pierre proposes to extend tax amnesty and waive penalties and fines for businesses and households

The COVID-19 pandemic had a damaging financial effect on Saint Lucian families and businesses.

The Government of Saint Lucia led by Prime Minister Hon. Philip J. Pierre understands households and the business sector still need assistance to recover from the effects of the pandemic and has taken the decision to extend the tax amnesty deadline by one year to May 1, 2024.

Prime Minister Pierre has also decided to waive all penalties, fines and interests on outstanding Value Added Tax deductions currently owed to the government.

To qualify for the waiver outstanding taxes must be settled by May 1, 2024.
