to press time on Sunday, Rushane “Chizzie” Patterson — the person of interest in the death of social media influencer Aneka “Slickianna” Townsend — did not report to the cops.
This was confirmed to the Jamaica Observer by a credible source within the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).
Patterson, from Prospect District in Hanover, was asked to present himself to the Freeport Police Station in Montego Bay, St James, by 5:00 pm on Saturday.
On Saturday, the JCF issued an official statement about the suspected murder. In a release, they said the 35-year-old, also known as Kayan, was retrieved by the Marine Police in waters in the Reading area of Montego Bay, St James.
The statement further said a series of operations were carried out in a neighbouring parish during which a motor vehicle was seized.
The public is being asked to report any information that can assist the investigation.
Slickianna is a popular social media personality who is known for her online clothing store, Slick Pieces JA. She also endorsed several clothing businesses.
Her last social media post before her demise was October 18 where she shared a photo taken at entertainment figure Yanique “Curvy Diva” Barrett’s eatery—Dining With Curvy.
Barrett had taken to social media to send a heartfelt message.
” Three days ago! I just saw you three days ago when you came by the restaurant with your mom for her birthday. We were laughing cause I wanted you to try something other than the stuffed lobster which was your favourite. To know that the last pic you posted was at the restaurant and you’ll never dine with us again hurts my heart! Rest In Peace. I still can’t believe,” she posted to Instagram.
Slickianna is survived by a son.
