Team treat

MORE than 800 team members from Sandals and Beaches Negril and their families recently benefited from a back-to-school treat and family fun day held by the resorts.

The Sandals Negril Sports and Social Club also played its part in making the day’s initiative a success with the gifting of back-to-school vouchers to team members.

Human resource manager at Beaches Negril Oneika Frazer said that it is always a pleasure for the executive team to host these events for team members.

“Our commitment and dedication to family has enabled us to create great memories for our team members and their families. Hundreds of children were entertained with fun-filled activities such as bounce-a-bout, mechanical bull, slides, face painting, merry go ’round, choo choo train and lots of treats and scrumptious meals.

“All our children received school bags with books, pencils, crayons, erasers and rulers. It was indeed an exciting day,” Frazer said.

Many team members ended the day feeling pleased and shared that they were appreciative of the thought and work that went into making the day a fun one.

“I am really happy and touched by the way my Sandals Negril team made today a day my daughter will remember. She has been so excited and has begged me to stay until the end. I am grateful for the assistance for back-to-school, because the truth is they didn’t have to do this. Now, the kids are happy and that is all that matters,” said housekeeper at Sandals Negril, Nadine Morris.

Human resources recruitment and compliance specialist at Sandals Negril Jodi-Anne Smart said it was a joy to see team members and their children spend quality time and benefit from the family-focused initiative.

“We issued school supplies to team members to reduce any financial strain that they may have as they prepare for the new school year. They were also treated to a variety of entertainment and fun activities that encouraged positive engagement. We also incorporated a theatre room for the children who preferred a more laid-back and quiet environment,” Smart said.
