Victoria 100 strong

Victoria Foster McLaren gets a 100th birthday kiss from her adopted daughter Dawnner James Byfield on Thursday at McLaren’s St Andrew home. McLaren, who was born in Cambridge, St James, is the last of her parents’ seven children.

She had moved to Kingston in her early teens, living with her sister for some time before moving back to St James. She got married, but had no children, so she eventually adopted two.

McLaren told the Jamaica Observer that her favourite meal is fish soup and she looks forward to having it on Saturdays.
