Recently, Winera encountered challenges with its banana box production andΒ was unable toΒ supply our banana farmers with boxing and packaging materials. The boxing shortage resulted in revenue losses as many farmersΒ could not sell their produce and fruits for several weeks.
The Pierre Administration is taking action to support our banana farmers by establishing a shared compensation package to cover their losses. The government is committing $500,000Β in direct supportΒ to farmers affected by the shortage.Β
The Ministry of Agriculture will administer the compensation package.
