Students can volunteer and receive course credit hours for dedicating time and service toward our initiatives. Get involved in the following areas:

Scholarship Opportunities
Through partnerships and small donations, we have raised over $10,000 for scholarships to support students of Caribbean heritage. HCPA disburses two scholarships each year.
The first is our longstand academic scholarship. The criteria include enrollment at an accredited Texas university, a minimum 3.3 GPA, and the provision of a resume/CV, recommendation letter, and 1-page essay on the value of, and contributions made to the Caribbean community.
The second is The Shari Augustine Community and Cultural Advancement Scholarship (Est. 2023). This award recognizes a student who exhibits Shari’s indomitable spirit of culture and service. Applicants must be a member of a Caribbean-based organization and must provide a resume/CV, recommendation letter, and a detailed 2-page essay on the value of, and contributions made to the Caribbean communitys
