Mission

Give2Serve, a charitable joint venture between Soul Rebel Productions and the Houston Caribbean Professionals Association, was born in the midst of the COVID-19 global pandemic. As our world was uprooted by the devastating effects of COVID-19, resulting in unprecedented sickness, death, and devastating economic hardship for millions, the purpose of Give2Serve was born. Our purpose to be a liaison, to facilitate, and to provide a mechanism by which people can help other people during these lean economic times became clear. At its core, our simple mission is helping people help people

We all hear frequent accounts of people in need due to unemployment, sickness, or other extenuating circumstances. We all see the devastating effects on our local small businesses, as they are forced to close or drastically reduce hours of service due to shelter in place mandates meant to minimize the spread of the virus. We are being called to help. We are being called to give. We are being called to serve.

You can be of service to your community and help us in our mission of helping people help people in 3 simple ways.

  1. Make a donation – Your tax-deductible donation will be used directly to help someone in need.
  2. Request Help – If you or someone you know has a critical need, please provide us with the details. We will utilize donations received and the resources of our community to offer help. Your name and other identifying information will be kept 100% confidential.
  3. Add to our business directory – Our directory of local small businesses and suppliers will be used to offer help to people in need. With your donations you will help people in need as well as support local small businesses which are the foundation of our economy.

We thank you for supporting our mission as we focus on helping people help people.

WHY VOLUNTEER FOR HCPA?

HCPA focuses its’ volunteer efforts on programs and initiatives that give back to our communities, both domestic and abroad.  Natural disasters, storms, and pandemic deficits are some events that have adversely affected individuals and families in our community.  The results include issues such as, food shortages, water deficits, and income / job losses to name a few.  Together with Community Members, Advisors, and Volunteers, HCPA provides assistance for such issues and needs your help to maximize coverage.

Volunteering with HCPA allows for the opportunity to see our organization’s vision and mission first-hand.  In addition, volunteers also experience the beauty of making a difference, making a positive impact, and sharing in the culture and warmth of the community.

To become a volunteer, submit an email of interest to: hcpa@hcpassoc.org. Subject:  Volunteer.
